I fall into the category of loving films but being one of the worst actors to ever grace this planet. Which means I often find myself having weekend movie nights instead of painting the town red. Or if your child is an actor, you can have them perform a monologue or have the kids put on a talent show. Even though I'm an awful actor, as kids we used to love to do some sort of skit, especially at summer camp so don't worry about the skill level of the kids because the goal is simple - to have fun! And as you probably noticed, theme parties make it so much easier to plan for a party because you can base all your decisions around a central theme instead of trying to throw together a mish-mash of ideas.

A Great Birthday Party Idea for Your Little Superheroes

With great pride I can tell you that once upon a time, I was not just your average blogger, I was in fact the world's greatest superhero. Like most superheroes, my incredible powers have faded as I got older, but as a child I possessed every known superpower. I could fly, shoot laser beams from either my eyes, finger tips, or a superpower staff - aka, old broomstick. Actually, I could shoot just about anything I wanted out of my hands, sometimes I would freeze things, sometimes light them on fire, or sometimes, if I was in a rush, I would just get down to business and shoot a death ray. And should a bad guy get lucky and by sheer fluke, hurt me, I would just use my incredible super healing powers to fix my wounds. Gosh I miss those days! Now standing up after sitting too long seems like a superpower LOL.

Kids will jump (or fly if they are already superheroes) at the opportunity to dress up like their favorite superhero, or, let their imagination run wild and help them create their own unique superhero costume. Vroom! Put the Pedal to the Metal - Race Car Birthday Party Invitations

"I feel the need for speed!" shouted Tom Cruise as he reminded us all about the thrills of race cars in that movie about racing, the title of which I forget and I'm too lazy right now to Google it. Hey, cut me some slack, I haven't even finished my first coffee yet!

Okay, I finished my first coffee and the name of the movie is "Days of Thunder".



Racing, in one form or another, has always been a part of most cultures. Racing cars in North America probably started 5 seconds after the world's second car was built and two stubborn men wanted to see which one was faster. LOL. Whatever you think of racing, it's hard to deny there is something thrilling about the power and harrowing speeds achieved while these brave men and women race around a track for hours at a time.

If your kids are fans of racing, why not throw them a racing themed birthday party. A couple suggestions would be to have a party at the local Go-Kart, complete with a race car cake. Or you could have it at home, buy an electric race car set, and have your kids and their friends compete in their own NASCAR or Formula 1 racing tournament. Or do the same with remote control race cars. There are so many great things you can do with this theme.
